Question: cost to replace intake manifold gasket

Due to high idle speed

You could try calling local repair shops (which you can find in the servicing section at driverside) and asking them, but I would estimate around 250 total.

It's a lot cheaper to do yourself, you can buy the parts here for 17:

someone at wikianswers said this about replacing the manifold gasket in the 99 Sl:
"If you have a general automotive knowledge and some metric wrenches and sockets, you should be able to do it. Might take you 1 - 1.5 hrs to remove it. Not to difficult really except that it is behind the engine and some of the lower intake mounting bolts may be tough to see."
